Festival of industries
Launching this academic year, HEON are excited to be hosting multiple Festival of Industries days, in collaboration with Surrey and Hampshire Careers Hubs. We will be welcoming groups of Year 10 students to one of our Partner Institution campuses for an insightful experience and the opportunity to engage with local employers.
These days are designed to support schools to work towards Gatsby Benchmarks 4, 5 and 7 via engagements with employers and higher education.
Who should attend?
We can welcome groups of up to 30 year 10 students per school.

Why should your students attend?
During the day, students will take part in 2 engaging sessions led by local employers. These sessions are designed to introduce students to their industry and give them a relevant industry task to complete.
We aim for students will leave with an increased knowledge of employment opportunities locally, as well as increasing their confidence in essential skills valued by employers, such as teamwork and problem solving.
Additionally, with the Festival of Industries being held on university campuses, we hope to further support their progression into higher education with an enriched understanding as to how higher education can support their career goals.

11.30 – 12.00: Campus Tour
12.00 – 12.45: Lunch

14.15 – 14.30: Plenary
14.30 – Departures
The Festival of Industries is a one-day event, and we will have several different dates across the academic year at our partner universities. It is free to attend and lunch will be provided. Transport can also be provided if required.
