Why do we work with these young people?
These have been identified by the office for students and are recognised as backgrounds which are under-represented in higher education. For varying reasons, students who meet these criteria face barriers that means they progress to higher education at a lower rate than their peers. By prioritising our work to young people from these backgrounds, we aim to widen access to higher education and the opportunities that this provides.
