Our Events

We work with local schools and colleges to build tailored programmes of activities to support the needs of their students.  We also offer a series of activities for schools and students to book onto.

These events will bring HE to life for your students and support you to meet some of the Gatsby benchmarks.

In collaboration with the Hampshire and Surrey Careers Hubs, HEON are delighted to offer a series of Festival of Industry events for groups of year 10 students.

Residentials

This year HEON are again delivering two residentials; one just after the Easter Holidays and one during the Summer Holidays.

HEON residentials consist of workshops, practical activities and information sessions during the day, to showcase all Higher Education options and potential career routes. There will also be fun and informal entertainment in the evenings. Attendees will also get to meet current University students whilst staying in uni accommodation to really get a taste of what life at University would be like.

Sessions are delivered by many of our partner institutions, which provides a varied, balanced insight into higher education options. Both HEON residentials are completely free.

See below for more information and application info for both events. For more information contact us on heon@surrey.ac.uk

Creative Arts Saturday Clubs

UCA are hosting 3 Creative Arts Saturday Clubs this November on their Farnham campus. These clubs are led by experienced creative practitioners and give you a chance to develop a portfolio of work. The programmes are designed to equip you with new skills to help build your confidence, as well as the ability to express your ideas and hone your creative practice.

These activities are completely free to take part in, and we provide all materials needed each week.

The Thrive Creative Conference is aimed at students in Years 8 and 9 with an interest in creative subjects as they choose or start their GCSE options. Students will take part in workshops led by practicing artists, see state-of-the-art facilities and network with creative sector practitioners and business owners. This is a fantastic opportunity for students and teachers alike to broaden their understanding of creative pathways, from GCSE to post-16 and beyond.
