    Hello Ghostbusters!

Welcome to day 2 of the summer school, I hope you had an enjoyable first day yesterday. Today there are two live sessions lined up to start at 11 and 2, the zoom links to which you can access on their page under day 2 of the summer school. Along with some pre-recorded sessions, we also have an optional evening activity lined up for you guys! I hope you have a lot of fun today, and as always let me know if you have any questions by letting me know in the replies below.

    See you soon!

    Olivia 🙂

    Hello again everyone!

If you have any feedback about today, it would be great if you could tell me about it here too!
Did you guys enjoy your sessions today? Which one would you say was your favourite?
    Did you learn anything today?
Are you interested in the army after the Army Q&A today?
How did you find the Investing in Yourself session? Did you take anything away from it?
Was there anything you didn’t like or thought could have been done better?
And as always, if you still have any questions you would like to ask, don’t hesitate to let me know. Answering your questions is what I’m here for after all.

Hope to hear from you soon! Best wishes,

    Olivia 🙂

    Hi Olivia,

I think that my favourite session today was the languages one that I did in my free period. I really liked the idioms in German and Spanish! The army does seem really cool after the zoom today, and I learnt that its not all about going out and having a war…I don’t think that it is the right place for me though. I really enjoyed the investing in yourself session, as I learnt about new ways to motivate myself and help me to achieve my goals. I think that it was a really good day and the questionnaire at the end of the day was a good idea. Maybe one thing to improve would be to make sure that all of the worksheets can be written on by those who don’t have Microsoft word, but that is a minor thig, and just depends on the person running the activity!

Thanks so much for all that you are putting into this week!

    Hi Lucy,

I’m very glad you enjoyed your sessions today, I’ve passed your comment onto Vickie, and she’s pleased that you enjoyed the language taster so much! Do you think that you would consider studying languages at A level or uni? Personally I slightly regret not continuing any languages after GCSE, so maybe it’s a skill you could ‘invest’ in if you enjoyed it so much!
I’m glad you also learnt something new about the army, and it’s okay if you find it’s not for you. Ultimately, there will be some things that won’t suit everyone, but being able to decide that is progression in and of itself.
The investing in yourself was my favourite session too, and contained a lot of content that i hope you will be able to apply throughout your academic career and beyond. I know that I myself still have a lot of things to work on (procrastination being the main one 🙂 ), so I’m glad you guys have been given the opportunity to learn these things a lot earlier than I did.
As always Lucy, your feedback is very much appreciated, and I hope you and everyone else will enjoy everything else the summer school had to offer.

    Best wishes,

    Olivia 🙂
